Independent. 15 seconds to prepare, 45 seconds to speak.
This speaking turn opens a first meeting. You read a model aloud, then say your own version. Nothing is recorded. The useful shape is the time of day, who you are in one sentence with a verb, and the decision on the table. Do not stack 'as a' phrases. Do not apologize for your accent. The clock is for the decision, not for a biography.
Read the script aloud once. Then give your own 45-second answer to the same question. You may agree or disagree. Keep a position, one reason, and one example.

I think employees should speak in the first meeting, even if they are new. The reason is that the room will treat silence as agreement. For example, last quarter a quiet analyst caught a pricing error the room had already accepted. She spoke on day one, and the launch price changed before the note went out. That is why I would rather hear a rough point early than a perfect one after the decision.
