Future arrangements
The point
A fixed arrangement often uses the present continuous. I am meeting them at nine. A decision you make at this moment uses will. Going to is a plan already in mind. Do not drop the be.
Form and use
Split the future by how firm it is. A fixed diary plan uses the present continuous: I am meeting them at nine. A plan already in mind uses be going to: I am going to call her. A decision made as you speak uses will: I will call her now. A timetable uses the present simple.
Read the full set. I am meeting them. You are meeting them. She is meeting them. We are meeting them. They are meeting them. I am going to call. You are going to call. He is going to call. We are going to leave. They are going to wait. I will call her now. She will take this one. The train leaves at six. The office opens at eight. I am not meeting them. Are you meeting them? She is not going to call. Will you take this one?
Do not drop be. I meeting them and I going to call are unfinished. Will takes the base, with no to. The present simple here is a schedule, not a personal choice. The train leaves at six because the timetable says so.
The meeting is in the diary, so use the present continuous. You decided earlier, so use going to. You decide while speaking, so use will. A bus, a train, or an opening hour follows a timetable, so use the present simple.
